PSLE Science –Higher Order Thinking Skills


Objective: This PSLE workshop will encompass the all important higher-order thinking skills questions tested in both the MCQs and the open-ended sections in a PSLE Science paper. The workshop will also touch on the common mistakes made by students and the techniques needed to solve these heuristic-type questions. The workshop aims to sharpen students’ approach to analytical thinking in Science.

Topics Covered :

1) Diversity
2) Cycles
3) Systems
4) Interactions
5) Energy

30 Minutes: Running thru common mistakes made by students & how to overcome them. (With sample questions & analytic techniques) 

60 Minutes: 20 higher-order thinking skills MCQs (how to approach these questions)

90 Minutes: 15 higher-order thinking skills Open-ended.Will focus on how to approach the questions. (identification of topic, what are the Science concepts being tested, the phrasing of answers to include key points)
